Philippines says 6 workers among dead in Algeria

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Foreign Affairs office says six Filipino workers are among hostages who were killed by militants at an Algerian gas field.

Foreign Affairs spokesman Raul Hernandez told reporters Monday that 16 Filipinos have been accounted for and four others are still missing.

He said the information came from Algerian authorities.
