With a crowd of more than 600 Howard students, friends and family cheering every word, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Allstate honored the late Reggie White this morning.

Presenting a bronze plaque to the school to honor the NFL's all-time sacks leader, White's widow, Sara, implored the students to "follow your dreams regardless of how many people tell you you can't reach them."

White, an ordained minister, starred at Howard before going to the University of Tennessee where he was known as the "Minister of Defense." He then went on to star in the NFL with both the Philadelphia Eagles and with the Green Bay Packers, where he led them to Super Bowl.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006, two years after his death.
