Fort Payne, Ala., singer Justin Chain makes it onto NBC's 'The Voice'

Fort Payne, Ala., singer Justin Chain made it onto NBC's top-rated singing contest "The Voice" during Tuesday night's episode.

Singing Jason Aldean's "She's Country," Chain's pure voice had country superstar and "Voice" judge Blake Shelton turning his chair around within seconds of the song's start.

Shelton taunted the other judges, jokingly calling them "idiots" for not choosing Chain. Judge Adam Levine said Chain was "more country than Blake Shelton."

Chain told host Carson Daly that a traumatic motorcycle wreck in 2008 almost ended his life. While recuperating he decided to use "music to inspire somebody."

When Shelton learned Chain was from Fort Payne, the country superstar gave a shout-out to Fort Payne band Alabama, while Chain left the stage to Alabama's music.
