MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Gov. Robert Bentley is taking exception to his press office describing his hernia surgery as minor.

Bentley said he knows his press office was trying to keep anyone from worrying when it described his procedure Oct. 15 as "minor hernia repair surgery". He says minor surgery is what he used to do on other people when he was practicing medicine in Tuscaloosa. But he says there is no such thing as minor surgery when you're the patient.

Monday was Bentley's first day back at the state Capitol following his recuperation. The governor told reporters that he's sore, but doing fine otherwise.
