Two separate incidents of rape were reported to the Chattanooga Police Department over the weekend.
The incidents occurred in the Brainerd and Hixson areas, and detailed geographical information will not be released to protect the victims, a news release from CPD said.
Both women were over 60 years-old, and both described their attacker as a black male, between 5 feet nine inches and six feet tall, with braided hair, according to the release.
CPD investigators are currently following multiple leads in both cases and working to determine if the two incidents are related.
