UTC Mocs improve to 7-6 in 83-67 win over UAB

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team improved to 7-6 on the season with an 83-67 over the University of Alabama at Birmingham Monday at McKenzie Arena.

The pre-Christmas crowd of 2,609 fans watched the Mocs jump out to a 21-point halftime lead. They also watched the Blazers rally in the second half, trimming the lead to nine in the second half before pulling away for the double-digit win.

The Mocs were led by 18 points from Greg Pryor. Casey Jones finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Ronrico White had a solid all-around game with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Justin Tuoyo had his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Blazers (4-8) were led by Robert Brown's 19 points. Hakeem Baxter had 15, while Nick Norton added 12.

The Mocs play the second of a five-game homestand on Dec. 29, when they host Lipscomb.
