Memphis man arrested on 14-year-old warrant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The U.S. Marshals Service says a man wanted for more than 14 years on a drug charge has been arrested in Memphis.

Marshals Service spokesman Seth Bruce says Gary Williams was arrested Jan. 3 on charges of possession with intent to sell crack cocaine and resisting official detention.

Bruce says members of the Gulf Force Regional Fugitive Task Force had been searching for Williams for several months on a warrant issued in November 1999.

After developing several leads, his location was narrowed down to a Memphis street. Bruce says Williams was arrested without incident at his house.

Online court records do not show if Williams has a lawyer. He is out of jail on a $15,000 bond.
