Red Bank police investigate shooting at corner of Morrison Springs, McCahill

photo Red Bank police Sgt. Dan Seymour searches for evidence at the scene of a shooting that occurred Wednesday at around 1:45 p.m. at the Hardee's on Morrison Springs Road in Red Bank.

Crime scene tape and police cars blocked off the parking lot to the Hardee's at the corner of Morrison Springs and McCahill roads when Red Bank police responded to a report of a shooting shortly after lunchtime Wednesday.

One male victim, whose name was not released by Red Bank police, was taken to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his leg. No suspects or other victims are known to police at this time. This location was near the site of another shooting investigation in early July of last year.

In July, police said Antwan Lamar Jackson, 34, shot and wounded his ex-girlfriend, Monica Branham, on U.S. Highway 27 near the Morrison Springs exit following a car chase from Chattanooga.

Branham was able to drive herself to the Hardee's for help. Jackson was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder.
