A 63-year-old Soddy-Daisy woman was shot to death this morning, according to a news release.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office found Sandra Davis at the scene of the shooting at 9008 Wellthor Circle around 11 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at a hospital and the body was sent to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are currently involved and no further information will be released at this time, sheriff's office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said in the release.
