Athens Police have charged a McMinn County man with reckless aggravated assault while they await medical information in a woman's death.
First responders were called to a wooded area off Congress Parkway near Velma Road around 2 Friday afternoon. 51-year old Janie Hall was found with a cut on her leg. EMS began to work on her. A police report states she went unconscious and stopped breathing. Hall was transported to the hospital, and pronounced dead.
41-year old Adrian Hall was questioned at the scene. He reportedly said the cut was the result of an accident.
