Teenager shot in Chattanooga this morning

A 19-year-old man was shot in Chattanooga early this morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Around 2:40 a.m., police responded to a local hospital and spoke to Kyle Worley, who said he confronted an unknown black man in his back yard.

Worley told police the suspect shot him in the right shoulder and fled on foot.

Worley was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

Police ask anyone with information about the crime to call 423-698-2525.
