Calhoun police investigating school incident

Calhoun, Ga., police were called to Calhoun Primary School about 2 p.m. Wednesday in response to a report of a child in distress.

Officers arrived and were told that the student, a 9-year-old girl, appeared to have gotten her neck stuck between a partially rolled up window and the door frame of a vehicle.

The girl was nonresponsive, and was taken by ambulance to Gordon Hospital, and subsequently flown to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger.

Police are investigating the incident.
