Utility worker finds dead body near King's Lodge in Chattanooga

A utility worker found the decomposing body of a white man near King's Lodge on Westside Drive around 3 p.m. today, according to police.

Investigators have not yet determined how the man died, but believe he may have been homeless, according to a news release from the police department.

The man's identity has not yet been released. His body was found at 2500 Westside Drive and is the third body found in Chattanooga in the last three days.

Kenneth Johnson, 59, was discovered dead on Blackford Street on Tuesday.

And 85-year-old Charles Pittman was found dead in a creek along Bonny Oaks Drive on Monday.
