Marcus Eugene Sutton pleaded guilty last week to shooting up one man's house, beating up another man in jail and killing a third man.

Sutton, 21, was arrested on Nov. 5, 2013, following a manhunt after police say he shot and killed Anderson Watts. Sutton fired seven bullets into Watts after an argument on Oct. 30, 2013, according to a press release from Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Herbert "Buzz" Franklin.

After pleading guilty to three separate crimes, including the voluntary manslaughter of Watts, Sutton will serve 30 years in prison. He will then be on probation for another 10 years.

One month before killing Watts, according to the release, Sutton and another man told Terrance Dillard that they were going to kill him. They then opened fire on a Rossville apartment, not realizing that Dillard was on the other side of the street.

Officers later charged Sutton with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

Then, after police arrested hm for both of these incidents, according to the release, Sutton got into a fight on March 27 with an inmate named Steven Adam Powell, causing Powell "significant injuries." The sheriff's office charged him rioting in a penal institution for this incident.

Public Defender David Dunn represented Sutton.
