DECATUR, Tenn. - A Meigs County, Tenn., judge has dismissed charges of aggravated child abuse filed against Lookout Mountain attorney Morgan G. Adams.

Adams, 51, an attorney at The Law Offices for Morgan Adams, was accused of spanking his 11-year-old son 100 times for making bad grades in school and for lying to his mother.

Police said the child received heavy and deep bruising.

All Hamilton County judges recused themselves from the case and it was moved to Meigs County. There, Judge Casey Stokes dismissed the charges and ordered they be expunged from Adams' record.
