Chattanooga police have identified the victim in a deadly crash on Interstate 75 this morning as 59-year-old Kenneth Mills.

Investigators determined a tractor trailer struck the end of a guardrail causing the trailer to jackknife. The driver of the tractor trailer succumbed to his injuries.

Two other vehicles then struck debris in the roadway resulting from the tractor trailer accident, police said in a news release. The driver of a Chevy Equinox sustained non-life-threatening injuries. An RV also struck debris in the roadway; no injuries were reported.

The cause of the tractor trailer's collision with the guardrail is still under investigation, police said.

The crash happened near exit 9 just before 6 a.m.

All lanes have reopened since the accident.
