Myung KimMyung Kim, the 61-year old owner of Royal Spa in Madison Co., Ala., was arrested today and charged with promoting prostitution.
Kim was arrested in part of a two-year investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Human Trafficking Unit and Sheriff's deputies in Madison County, according to a release from the TBI.
Search warrants were executed in an apartment at 936 Mountain Creek Road and at a home at 608 Valley Ridge Road in Chattanooga today. The Sheriff's Office in Madison County also executed five search warrants.
Evidence from the search warrants led to the arrest of Kim.
"This multi-jurisdictional operation is the result of shared information about human trafficking being exchanged between the two agencies," the release said.
Kim was booked in the Hamilton County Jail but has not been processed in the system yet, and therefore her bond is not known.
