FORT VALLEY, Ga. - Officials say an 11-year-old girl ejected from a vehicle during an accident has died.
The Macon Telegraph reports that Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks confirmed Lakevia George's death. Rooks says the girl died Sunday afternoon from head trauma.
She was injured in a one-car accident around 9:35 p.m. on Friday on Interstate 75.
George was one of five children ejected from the vehicle. Rooks says two of the children still are in the hospital.
Byron police are investigating the accident.
