Police find 'suspicious' dead body at Soddy Daisy cemetery

The body of a white male found Tuesday on the edge of a cemetery in Soddy-Daisy has been identified.

The body has been positively identified as that of 51-year-old Tony S Rector, originally from Marion County.

The Soddy-Daisy Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into Rector's death, ruling it to be a homicide.

Lt. Jeff Gann of the Soddy-Daisy Police department confirmed that the body was found on Tuesday at approximately 10:08 a.m. on the edge of a cemetery at 11600 Holly Circle.

Upon arrival, authorities located a white male with no identity on his person.
