A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing 21-year-old Chance LeCroy nearly five years ago.

Patrick Carmody, 46, is charged with felony murder and especially aggravated robbery in the September 2010 Hixson slaying.

Prosecutors say Carmody and Billy Bob Partin, 42, shot LeCroy during a robbery in his home.

At an October hearing where Carmody's trial was delayed, LeCroy's family expressed frustration at the case's pace.

Partin accepted a plea deal in June on a charge of second-degree murder and will serve 20 years in prison without the chance of parole.

Ronald Lee Pittman, 45, testified in 2012 that he held a gun to LeCroy's roommate's head, while Carmody and Pittman each shot LeCroy one time, he said.

Pittman remains on house arrest, but was in court Wednesday and told to return for Carmody's pre-trial hearing May 11.
