Christopher Douglas RossA former youth pastor in Middle Tennessee has been jailed after being charged with 10 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.
The Tennessean reports 43-year-old Christopher Douglas Ross of Mt. Juliet was booked Wednesday after being indicted on the charges. It wasn't immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
The indictment accuses Ross of having sexual contact with an underage victim in 2012 and says he had a position of authority or trust with the victim at the time.
The Wilson County Sheriff's Office declined to name the church, saying the investigation is ongoing. The sheriff's office said Ross hadn't worked at the church in at least a year.
