Husband and wife found killed in their Georgia home

ROME, Ga. -- Authorities say the deaths of a man and his wife, whose bodies were found in their Floyd County home, are being investigated as homicides.

Floyd County Coroner Barry Henderson identified the couple as 69-year-old James Steven Reeves; and 71-year-old Myra Wilson Reeves.

They were found dead Friday afternoon in their home on Terhune Road. The home is just southeast of Rome.

Henderson told The Rome News-Tribune that the two died as a result of homicide, but could not say how they were killed. No arrests have been made.

Both bodies were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for autopsies.
