Kelly Shay CozartAuthorities are investigating the death of a 42-year-old woman found in a Monroe County creek earlier this month as a homicide, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Monday.
The victim was identified as Kelly Shay Cozart, who most recently lived in Knoxville, according to a TBI news release.
Cozart's body was discovered off Tellico Lake in the Vonore area the night of July 1, according to a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation news release Monday.
