According to a release from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, Antonio George, the man who turned himself in for the November shooting death of Aaron "Josh" Davis, pleaded guilty Friday morning to criminally negligent homicide and was sentenced to three years in prison.

George also received eight years for a previous charge of probation violation, and both sentences will run consecutively.

Davis was found on Nov. 23 of last year after a vehicle flagged down a Bradley County deputy at the intersection of 25th St. and Peerless Rd. Davis was inside, suffering from mortal wounds.

After a week-long investigation by members of the Bradley County Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division, a second degree murder warrant was issued for Antonio George's arrest.

On December 1st, George, accompanied by several family members, surrendered to Sheriff Eric Watson on the charge. George plead to the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide Friday.

"This case has been extremely tough for the families of Mr. George and Josh Davis" Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said. "It's a sad situation for each member, I know."
