Hixson Pike is shut down at Shady Circle after a four-vehicle accident this morning, according to reports from the scene.
Emergency officials were called to the accident at 8:12 a.m.
As of 9 a.m., a civilian is standing in the road asking people to turn around. Southbound and northbound lanes are closed.
