An 11-year-old girl critically injured in a crash on I-75 in Bradley County on Tuesday has died, according to multiple news outlets.
Bradley County EMS responded to the accident just before 10 a.m. Tuesday near mile marker 22.
According to a release from Bradley County EMS, early reports indicated that a pickup truck struck an 18-wheeler. When EMS personnel arrived on the scene, they found the girl lying on the roadway. The girl was treated at the scene for life-threatening injuries, then transported to Children's Hospital at Erlanger.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
