Update at 4 p.m. June 11: Police say the Jeep was recovered last night due to a tip.
Police in Cleveland, Tenn., have video of someone stealing a Jeep on Monday, and they're hoping the public can identify the thief.
Police spokeswoman Evie West said the thief stole a 1980 CJ5 about 5:30 p.m. The vehicle that was stolen was drab green in color and has the word "Spicer "across the windshield. The suspect was seen drove the jeep leaving southbound on Georgetown Road. Anyone with information on the theft or the suspect is asked to call the Cleveland Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, 423-476-1121.
