$12,000 reward offered in case of beheaded dogs

Animal advocacy agencies are offering a total of $12,000 in rewards for information leading to any arrests and convictions of those responsible for beheading and skinning two dogs last week.

Authorities found the mutilated dogs June 24 at 1145 Jenkins Lane in Knox County in East Tennessee.

Two passersby saw the disfigured carcasses and notified authorities about 10 a.m., according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
