Police have identified the two people who were killed this morning in a head-on collision at 6600 Hixson Pike.
Judy A. Jeffers, 63, and Julie A. Hairfield, 36, were both pronounced dead earlier today, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.
The accident happened around 6:25 a.m., according to police. One driver died at the scene, and the other was taken to the hospital with serious injuries where they died. Police did not clarify which woman died where.
