One of two injured in Chattanooga shooting identified

Two people were injured in a shooting in East Chattanooga Sunday night, according to police.

The call came in around 9:10 p.m. at 2100 Rawlings St.

One man, O'Shae Smith, 20, arrived at a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. A second person also was injured.

The second person has not been identified.

This is the second shooting to take place on Rawlings Street this month. Marcus Fortson, 31, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound on March 1, just one block away from Sunday's shooting. On March 12, Kenneth Dixon Jr. was taken into custody in regards to that case.

Police ask that anyone with information on Sunday's crime call 423-698-2525.
