East Brainerd Road is now open again. The road was closed in both directions for several hours following an accident involving a pedestrian.
The driver in the accident, which occurred around 9 p.m., stopped and is cooperating with investigators, according to police. The pedestrian was struck in front of the Subway near Concord and East Brainerd roads.
The male victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
