Two police officers suspended over Sequoyah High prank

Two Madisonville, Tenn., police officers have been suspended after security video showed they were outside Sequoyah High School the night of a senior prank but did nothing, officials said.

Madisonville Police Chief Gregg Breeden said Patrolman Daniel Martin and part-time Officer Trey Strickland saw students at the school, but did not alert their supervisor. The school is about 150 yards outside the city limits, but Breeden said the officers should have reported the prank regardless.

"(The officers) felt like it was OK since the school resource officer was there," Breeden said. "But I felt like they should have come back and reported it to their supervisor."
