Wanted to ride Chattanooga's bike share system but haven't taken the opportunity yet?

Access to the Chattanooga Bicycle Transit System will be free on Monday.

It's the third consecutive year residents and visitors will have free use of the system during the USA Cycling Professional Road Race National Championship.

Volkswagen partnered with the City of Chattanooga and Bike Chattanooga to offer complimentary 24-hour access passes.

Residents and visitors can visit any of Bike Chattanooga's 33 Station Kiosks to take advantage of the offer. Bike share system ambassadors will be placed around the city to assist customers as well, according to a news release. A credit or debit card is required to initiate the rental but cards will not be charged for passes. The complimentary 24-hour pass includes unlimited station-to-station trips 60 minutes or less. Trips exceeding 60 minutes will incur overage fees that will be covered by the customer.
