Person killed by train near North Hamilton Elementary School

A male pedestrian was struck and killed this evening by a southbound train near Industrial Drive and North Hamilton Elementary School, according to Allen Branum, chief deputy for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department.

A Norfolk Southern representative said the man was on the railroad tracks when he was struck around 6:30 p.m.
