Police say three Weakley County high school students are facing charges after one of them tried to give a brownie with laxative in it to another student.
On Thursday, a 14-year-old girl at Westview High School told the school's resource officer that a student gave her a brownie that appeared to have some type of pills inside. Martin police said the pills were an over-the-counter laxative.
According to a release from the Martin Police Department, a 14-year-old male is accused of giving the brownie to the student and is facing a felony charge of adulterated food gift.
The other students, two 15-year-old females, are facing misdemeanor charges of criminal responsibility for conduct of another.
Police said a pellet gun was also found in the backpack of the male student, but no additional charges were filed because the gun was not presented during the incident.
