Henagar man fatally shot

DeKalb County, Ala., Sheriff Jimmy Harris says investigators have three "persons of interest" in the fatal shooting of a Henagar, Ala., man Saturday.

The 911 call came in around 10 p.m., Harris said in a news release. Henagar police and county deputies arrived to find a 48-year-old white male who had been shot. The body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy. The man's identity and the exact location of the shooting were not released.

"We are still investigating this incident and we have one person of interest being held in the Jackson County Jail on unrelated charges at this time. But we have two other persons of interest that was placed in the vehicle with the alleged shooter," Harris said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, Jackson County Sheriff's Office or Henagar Police Department.
