TN dentist accused of rape, stabbing arrested

KNOXVILLE — A Sevierville dentist accused of raping and stabbing a woman outside an East Knoxville motel has been arrested in Minnesota.

Dr. David William Gary, 47, was taken into custody about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in Olmsted County, Minn.

Knoxville Police Department Investigator Chas Terry had developed information Wednesday night that Gary was hiding in Olmsted County, according to a Knoxville Police Department news release.
