New Cleveland Police Department Chief Mark Gibson has named two veteran officers to his command staff.

Stacy Smith will be captain of operations and Robert Harbison will be captain of professional standards.

"I am pleased to have been able to choose Captain Harbison and Captain Smith to be a part of a supervisory team with a common vision of restoring integrity and respect to a great department," Gibson said in a statement.

"There is no doubt that these two officers will work complementary of one another, leading the department in reaching our goals and investing in the careers of leaders that will ultimately guide this police department in the future."

Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said Harbison and Smith are "solid, veteran law enforcement officers who have earned the respect of their peers at the Cleveland Police Department, as well as those of us at the Bradley Sheriff''s Office."
