Silverdale accidentally releases federal inmate

The U.S. Marshal Service is hunting for a federal drug suspect who was released in error from Silverdale Correctional Facility in Hamilton County early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, Brenen Andrew Murphy was being detained on federal drug charges.

The release did not say how Murphy came to be released from the facility operated by Corrections Corporation of America.

Murphy is white, with brown hair and eyes and a beard. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.

He has several tattoos, including "Born Free 80's Baby" on his neck, "423" on his right hand and "517" on his left hand, "skulls and crossbones" on left arm, "RIP JJS" with a cross on right forearm.

Anyone with information on Murphy's whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the U.S. Marshal Service.
