Anti-drug plane finds 113 marijuana plants growing at 11 sites in Walker County

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force launched a plane on Sept. 16 to see if there was marijuana growing in Walker and Dade counties. There was.

Along with the Georgia Governor's Task Force, the group's plane was able to find 11 marijuana grow sites in southwestern Walker County.

When they went in on foot, they found 113 mature, cultivated marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $135,000.

The case is under investigation by the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, according to Commander Patrick D. Doyle, but no arrests have been made yet.
