A victim drove himself to a local hospital, suffering from two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police were notified by the hospital and the victim, who has been identified as 30-year-old Demetris Ellison, told officers the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Orchard Knob Avenue.
Ellison was in a vehicle traveling north on Orchard Knob Avenue when suspects in a vehicle traveling south on Orchard Knob Avenue fired shots at the victim's vehicle, striking Ellison in the back as they passed one another.
Ellison drove himself to the hospital, but was unable to give any suspect information.
Chattanooga police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
