A prom crash reenactment at Sonoraville High School on Tuesday became a very real medical emergency when a student who was filming the event fell from a trailer onto asphalt.

According to a press release, the student fell during the annual reenactment that is held for Gordon County students, but she was responsive to medical personnel who were already on scene as part of the event.

The student was airlifted from the scene and is reported as being in stable condition at Erlanger Medical Center although the extent of her injuries is still being determined.

Bruce Potts, principal of Sonoraville High School said the student is, "Very strong and in good spirits."
