Three people were shot and wounded Sunday morning in the 2600 block of Dodson Avenue, according to Chattanooga police.

Officer Victor Miller said one of the victims was under 18 and that all three were taken to a hospital in a personal vehicle.

Miller spoke to media late Sunday morning just a few houses down from where the shooting occurred, as residents of the neighborhood looked on while officers continued their investigation.

The incident is still under investigation, but Miller said it's possible that a gray or gold Chevrolet Impala fled the scene with four black men inside.

The shooting also spawned a vehicle chase on Highway 58. A vehicle that police believed to be related to the shooting was noticed by police in the area, but when officers approached the vehicle, the driver sped away.

The pursuit ended on Highway 58 with a suspect taken into custody.

Police have not released the names of the shooting victims, suspects or the person arrested on Highway 58.

Miller encouraged those with information to contact Chattanooga police.

The shooting followed an early Sunday morning homicide in Alton Park that left 24-year-old Marquise Jackson dead. Miller said officers are working to determine if the incidents are related.

This a developing story.
