DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A man is accused of shooting his grandmother and killing her husband at a Douglasville home.

WAGA-TV reports Douglasville police say 25-year-old Patrick Canada was arrested on murder and aggravated assault charges Sunday night.

Police Maj. J.R. Davidson says the suspect pointed a gun at an officer responding to a disturbance call. There was an exchange of gunfire. No one was hit.

Police say the officer went to his patrol car to retrieve his rifle after his gun malfunctioned when he saw 64-year-old Pamela Lynn Henn exiting the home with multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect also left the home and was taken into custody. Inside, police found 59-year-old Douglas Keith Henn shot to death.

Police believe Canada got into an argument with Douglas Henn before the shooting.

It isn't clear if Canada has an attorney.
