Man charged with first-degree murder in June slaying

A man has been arrested in the killing of Jerica Jackson, a 22-year-old woman who as shot and killed in June.

Courtney High, 25, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm during a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Jackson was found shot to death inside a white SUV on Trailwood Drive around 3:30 a.m. on June 12.

High has a lengthy criminal record in Hamilton County dating back to at least 2009, with charges ranging from theft to aggravated arson and possession of a deadly weapon.
