UPDATE:

The patient is out, and was brought to the top of the mountain for a helicopter evacuation.

Chattanooga firefighters and medical workers rushed to evacuate a woman Thursday morning who had fallen from Raccoon Mountain.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman, fell down the side of the mountain, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Firefighters and medical workers made contact with the victim shortly before 11:30 a.m., and made preparations to carry her out of the area.

A LifeForce helicopter was summoned to the mountain to fly the woman out of the area.
