Flames engulf tractor trailer on Signal Mountain Road

Firefighters work to put out a tractor trailer fire Wednesday behind Fire Station 17 in a parking lot near B&B Discount Sales on Signal Mountain Road.
The flames erupting from a tractor trailer this afternoon could be seen for miles in every direction according to a press release from the Chattanooga Fire Department.
The truck caught on fire behind Fire Station 17 in a parking lot near B&B Discount Sales on Signal Mountain Road and took nearly 30 minutes to get under control
Battalion Chief Don Bowman said that when firefighters arrived, "The entire front portion of the 53-foot truck, including the cab, was engulfed in flames."
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
