A vandalism spree that caused more than $30,000 in damage to vehicles, homes and mailboxes in Cleveland, Tenn., has been solved and six people charged, a news release states.

Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Evie West said in a news release the city department and Bradley County Sheriff's Office worked jointly to solve the crime that took place overnight on Feb. 13 along streets in North Cleveland.

Investigators identified and questioned the suspects, who all confessed, West said. All will be charged with vandalism over $10,000.

Police said at the time that rocks and bricks were hurled through the front and back glass of dozens of vehicles, along with other damage.

Victims are asked to submit damage estimates to the Cleveland department's Criminal Investigation Division to help determine the amount of restitution the vandals must pay.

Police Chief Mark Gibson said in the statement, "I am pleased with the quick action and outcome resulting from the mutual aid effort between the Bradley County Sheriff's Office and the Cleveland Police Department's Criminal Investigations Divisions.

" ... We appreciate the community coming together to safeguard their neighbors property while some of the victims were out of town when the crimes occurred. We are also grateful for the effort the investigators put forth to identify the suspects and charge them accordingly."
