Snow is in the forecast for the Chattanooga area next week.

The National Weather Service reports that Sunday will begin with rain before transitioning to snow around 5 p.m.

There's a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

The temperature will get down to around 26 Sunday night. However, things will warm back up on Monday with a high around 42.
