The south bound lane of St. Elmo Avenue from 40th Street to Ochs Highway will be closed for several weeks starting on Monday.
The closure is needed in order to construct a shared-use pathway and reconstruct the St Elmo Avenue and Ochs Highway intersection.
A press release from the Chattanooga Department of Transportation said that the south bound through lane and right turn lane will be merged during construction.
The lane should be open again on Thursday, February 12.
